Masters in Sword Making The idea of stamping the swords with Sword smith's punch comes from ancient times. It was compelled by royal warrant in December of 1567 when King Felipe II declared his concern for swords coming from foreign countries claming to have been made by Toledo sword masters and carrying the Toledo stamp.
